Shaun is insanely passionate about staffing and fascinated by business. Shaun started his career in finance and after being recruited into the staffing industry in 1999 has never looked back. In 2001, Robert Half relocated Shaun from Boston to San Diego. In 2005, he started Accountants In Transition which is now Transition Staffing Group with longtime business partners Steve Boegly and Genia Bellaconis. Outside his professional life, Shaun is a father of two: a daughter, Jade, and a son, Drake. He loves snowboarding, tennis, golf and hitting the gym as often as possible.
“Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.” This is the mantra Genia lives by daily and is committed to embedding into those around her. A native Bostonian, Genia attended Northeastern University and moved to San Diego to enjoy an active life. Any given weekend, you can find her playing with her two kids at the beach, golfing at Torrey Pines, or heading up to tackle a new mountain on her snowboard. Prior to joining TSG, Genia worked as both an accountant and a recruiter. Thus, her diverse combination of specialized experience enables her to see the big picture and add key value to any search.
A transplant from the East Coast (Philadelphia), Steve was the first of forty cousins to leave the “neighborhood” and explore new opportunities on the West Coast. After 30+ years in San Diego, he has become a bona-fide “local.” That same desire to explore outside his comfort zone led to the launch of Transition Staffing Group with partners Genia and Shaun in 2005. Since that time, TSG has prospered, keeping Steve young at – with the help of his team of talented associates. The art of the deal, establishing and nurturing relationships with professionals, and sharing in their success fuels his passion for the staffing industry. Steve encourages everyone around him to continue to challenge their abilities because, as he says, “You might just surprise yourself.”
